?2025 KAPS-BK21 Joint International Conference to Be Held at Sungkyunkwan University:Reimagining Governance and Public Policy in the Age of Transformation

The 2025 KAPS-BK21 Joint International Conference, themed “Reimagining Governance and Public Policy in the Age of Transformation,” will take place on June 24, 2025, at Sungkyunkwan University’s International Hall in Seoul, South Korea. This global academic event is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Policy Studies (KAPS) and three major BK21 FOUR research programs from Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, and Ewha Womans University.
In a time of rapid technological, demographic, and geopolitical change, the conference aims to explore innovative approaches to governance and policy design. The event will bring together over 100 scholars from 10 countries across four continents, featuring more than 40 paper presentations, editorial sessions, and roundtable discussions on collaborative research.
A major highlight is the keynote speech by Professor Kaifeng Yang, Dean of the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University–Newark, who will address the theme of "Public Administration Knowledge Production in Changing Glocalization." Additionally, a special editorial session will be held with journal editors including Professor Geoboo Song (Editor-in-Chief, Policy Studies Journal), Professor Hongtao Yi (Editor, Public Administration Review), and Professor Seulki Lee (Associate Editor, JPART), offering valuable guidance for scholars seeking publication in top-tier journals.
The conference serves not only as a platform for presenting cutting-edge research but also as a venue for fostering international academic exchange and collaborative partnerships in the field of public administration and policy.
