2025 “ESKARA: The Green Wave” Held
- An integrated festival for student culture and community spirit — 2025 “ESKARA: The Green Wave”
- Held on September 11–12 at the Natural Sciences Campus
- Featuring InJa-Jeon, club & artist performances, Cheer Festival 1398, fireworks, pop-up pubs, and booths

Sungkyunkwan University held the 2025 festival “ESKARA: The Green Wave” to promote student culture, foster community solidarity, and strengthen the university’s unique brand.

Hosted by the 57th Student Council S:CATCH and the Kingo Cheerleading Squad, the event took place over two days, September 11–12, at the Natural Sciences Campus.

Unlike previous years when the festival was held at the Global Plaza in front of the Samsung Library, this year’s main stage was set up at the Grand Stadium, allowing for a larger-scale event. The stage design reflected the traditional symbolism of Daeseongjeon, blending tradition with modernity.

For the first time in three years, the InJa-Jeon competition—between the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus (“In”) and the Natural Sciences Campus (“Ja”)—was revived, featuring events such as booth contests, knowledge quizzes, physical contests, and performance competitions.

Through “SKKU TOWN,” a collaborative initiative with local businesses, the festival promoted coexistence between students and the local community. Accessibility was enhanced with barrier-free zones and transcription services, while student welfare was supported with extended dormitory curfews and additional shuttle buses.

Jeon Hyung-do, President of the 57th Student Council at the Natural Sciences Campus, stated, “This year’s ESKARA sought to foster a sense of unity between the two campuses through ‘The Green Wave,’ symbolizing the identity of SKKU students. In particular, the large-scale stage set at the Grand Stadium provided students with a new experience, and the diverse programs showcased the active participation of all Sungkyun-ins.”
