Summer 2025 New Faculty Seminar Concludes Successfully


The Office of Academic Affairs (Dean, Professor Bae Sang-hoon) held a two-day seminar for newly appointed full-time faculty members for the 2025 Fall semester on Thursday, August 28th, and Friday, August 29th.


The new faculty seminar is held every semester for newly appointed faculty members with the goal of fostering a sense of pride as a Sungkyun-in and providing information on campus systems and procedures. This year's 2025 summer seminar included a 'Sungkyunkwan Tour' led by Professor Lee Chun-seung from the College of Liberal Arts, special lectures titled ‘A Useful 萌妹社区-Knowledge Guide to School’ by Professor Noh Jin-ah from the Department of Education and Professor Lee Jae-cheol from the College of Pharmacy, and a special lecture on 'A Wise Faculty Life at SKKU' by Professor Kim Tae-il from the Department of Chemical Engineering. The seminar also featured programs providing information on faculty personnel systems, teaching, and research support.

On the second day, 27 newly appointed faculty members for the 2025 Fall semester attended the Letter of Appointment Ceremony and a welcome luncheon. Chairman Park Jae-wan and other school foundation officials, along with President Yoo Ji-beom and key faculty administrators, attended to congratulate the new faculty on their appointments and to emphasize their calling and responsibilities as members of the university community.

A total of 28 new faculty members were appointed for the 2025 Fall semester. They are:
