Professor Minue Kim of the Department of Psychology at SKKU has been selected as a 2025 APS Fellow by the Association for Psychological Science (APS) in recognition of his outstanding research achievements in the field of affective neuroscience and his contributions to the advancement of the academic community.

APS Fellow status is awarded to APS members who have made sustained and outstanding contributions to the advancement of psychological science through research, education, service, and application. Fellows are selected each year through a rigorous review process, and the official announcement is made prior to the APS Annual Convention.

APS was founded in 1988 by 400 psychological scientists who gathered with the aim of establishing the value of psychology as a science. Today, the APS Annual Convention has grown into a major international academic event, attracting more than 4,200 psychological scientists and students each year.

Professor Kim leads the Human Affective Neuroscience Lab in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Brain and Cognitive Engineering at SKKU. His research focuses on the brain and cognitive mechanisms underlying human emotion and affect, utilizing neuroimaging technologies including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
