International Affairs Division Successfully Hosts Welcome Party for New International Students for Spring 2026

The Office of International Student Services of the International Affairs Division(Vice President Minhyo Cho) successfully hosted the Welcome Party for new international students admitted to degree programs for Spring 2026 on Friday, February 27, at International Hall on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
This event was organized to celebrate the new beginning of international students admitted to degree programs for Spring 2026 and to welcome them as they take their first steps as members of SKKU. It also aimed to support their smooth adjustment to university life, foster a sense of belonging, and enhance their understanding of academic studies and campus life.
Various interactive programs were offered during the event, including making personalized keyrings, taking photos at a photo zone, and creating badges, which received enthusiastic responses from the new students. In addition, through meetings with senior students serving as Freshmen Advisors, participants shared practical information such as course registration guidance, tips for campus life, and introductions to university programs, creating opportunities for natural interaction. Through these activities, the new students spent meaningful time building connections with one another and increasing their anticipation for university life.

Approximately 170 new students from 19 countries and 40 Freshmen Advisors attended the event, celebrating the students’ admission and creating an active platform for exchange. Students from diverse cultural backgrounds gathered in one place to communicate and interact, once again demonstrating the University’s standing as a global institution.

The International Affairs Division plans to continue operating customized support programs and exchange events to help international students adjust smoothly to campus life and strengthen their sense of belonging. At the same time, it will actively expand integrated programs that encourage natural interaction and mutual growth between international and Korean students.
