Office of International Affairs Successfully Concludes 2024 Winter SKKU-BA-DIVE Program

The International Exchange Team of SKKU’s Office of International Affairs hosted the 2024 Winter SKKU-BA-DIVE Final Presentation on Thursday, February 12, at the International Hall on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
Launched in 2022, SKKU-BA-DIVE (SKKU Bonding and Dive in) is a self-directed global experience program designed to foster a global mindset. Now in its 6th edition, the 2024 Winter SKKU-BA-DIVE saw 53 students across 10 teams travel to Germany, Sweden, the United States, Thailand, and Japan to conduct various projects.
The grand prize was awarded to Team "UBISPES", which focused on developing a portable ultrasound diagnostic device, U-Patch. The team visited major semiconductor companies and research institutions in Europe, receiving expert consultations and refining their product for future commercialization, earning high praise for their efforts.

The "GO JeonBan" and "Fixer Upper: Vacant Home Repair" teams were recognized as outstanding teams. "GO JeonBan" explored the use of Vietnamese classical literature in Korean language education, conducting preliminary research, on-site fieldwork, and follow-up studies. Meanwhile, "Fixer Upper: Vacant Home Repair" analyzed vacant house issues in Tokyo and applied their insights to propose solutions for Busan’s housing challenges.

The "SaeSam" team won the best video award for their documentary comparing disability rights policies in Sweden and South Korea through a legal and ethnographic perspective.

International Affairs Director Minhyo Cho expressed pride in the students, stating, "I am incredibly proud of our students who have successfully completed their projects in diverse regions and countries. I hope this experience inspires them to continue exploring various topics with curiosity and grow into global leaders."
