The School of Art (Dean Ji-Sook Jung) is hosting the cultural arts event, “Art/Student: Inseparable Connections,” on November 2 at Marronnier Park in Jongno, Seoul. The event will include interactive booths, art exhibitions, and performances, providing art students a chance to engage with the local community beyond their campuses.
Along with our university’s art students, students from Hongik University's Performing Arts Department and Chung-Ang University’s Theater Department will also participate, establishing a space for collaboration and interaction among Daehangno’s various art schools.
At the center of Marronnier Park, a wide range of art displays and public engagement programs will be held, including ▲Citizen-participatory exhibitions of cultural art capstone design projects ▲Multi-disciplinary art exhibits ▲Sungkyunkwan University’s Design Society exhibition ▲Club oil painting exhibition ▲Graduating exhibitions from the Department of Fashion and Department of Film Studies ▲A reading theater performance by the Acting Arts Department
Additionally, at Marronnier Park’s main stage, a band concert by six groups from Hongik University's Performing Arts Department and musical gala performances by Chung-Ang University’s Theater Department and Sungkyunkwan University’s Acting Arts Department will be held from 1 pm to 7 pm, offering citizens a unique cultural experience.
Other programs include a “Networking Table” for art students to share portfolios and business cards, and “Art College: Radio,” where students share their stories, creating a free and open space for exchange.
Dean Ji-Sook Jung of the School of Art remarked, “This event provides emerging artists, who will lead Korea’s future K-content, with an opportunity to showcase their creative works and engage with a diverse audience. I hope it becomes an occasion for their works to connect with a variety of spectators and for the artistic dialogue among local art schools to expand.”
