Samsung Science & Technology Foundation has announced new research project on April 10th. The projects were focused on the topic of social contribution. Samsung explained that they were able to discover new projects that will contribute to the solution of recent issue of pollution in environment and the atmosphere.
Prof. Hyunsuk JUNG researched on a “pollutant removing multifunction filter (membrane)”. The research team worked to develop a filter that can purify pollutants such as heavy metal and organic matters inside the water at once. This can contribute to miniaturization and cost-reduction of water treatment system.
Securing clean water has become an important task for the global community due to increasing pollution and climate change. It is anticipated that the research will contribute toward the global society.
