SKKU has been chosen by the government to open a graduate school for AI (Artificial Intelligence) in 2019. SKKU was selected along with KAIST and Korea University. Each university will recruit 50~60 students for the graduate/doctor’s program. Ministry of Science and ICT has announced that it will provide total of 19 Billion Won for 10 years.
At the background of ministry’s decision is the trend of AI education in US and China. SKKU will expand its department of AI robotics and cooperate with Samsung Medical Center, Samsung Electronics and Naver.
