The College of Business Successfully Hosts ICoMP 2026

- Bringing Together Global Scholars in Compensation, Motivation, and Performance

The College of Business (Dean: Professor Jong Eun Lee) successfully hosted the 1st International Conference on Compensation, Motivation, and Performance (ICoMP) from January 8 to 9, 2026, reaffirming its standing as a hub for international academic exchange.

ICoMP is an international academic conference focused on compensation systems, employee motivation, performance management, and the future of work and workplaces. This inaugural event marked the first official launch of a global academic forum bringing together leading researchers in the field. Over the two-day conference, approximately 120 scholars from 53 universities and research institutions across 13 countries participated, sharing cutting-edge research findings and engaging in active academic discussions.

The conference program consisted of keynote sessions and multiple research presentation sessions, covering a broad range of topics across human resource management, organizational behavior, labor economics, and strategy. In particular, in-depth discussions and open exchanges between domestic and international scholars were praised for transforming the campus into a vibrant global academic community.

The conference was jointly organized by Professor Tae Yoon Park, Professor Diane Burton of Cornell University, and Professor Jason D. Shaw of Nanyang Technological University, and was held with the support of the College of Business and the BK Program.

Through the inaugural ICoMP Conference, the College of Business further strengthened its global research network and solidified its role as an academic hub leading international discourse in the fields of compensation and performance research. ICoMP is expected to develop into a regular international academic conference in the years to come.
