SKKU Successfully Concludes WISE
with 3,100 Participants from 25 Countries

The Office of International Affairs (Vice President: Professor Minhyo Cho) successfully concluded the 2025 Academic Year Winter International Student Experience (WISE), which was conducted over three weeks from December 22, 2025, to January 9, 2026.
This year’s WISE program brought together approximately 3,100 participants, including international students from 31 partner universities across 25 countries and Sungkyunkwan University students, once again demonstrating its status as the University’s flagship short-term winter international education program.
The program was delivered through a hybrid online and offline format, expanding learning accessibility by allowing overseas students to participate without the burden of time differences or travel. Across a total of 12 sessions, international and SKKU students studied together, enabling seamless integration of academic learning and global exchange. In particular, the offline courses strengthened multicultural collaboration through team projects and discussion-based classes.
In addition, a variety of official cultural programs were offered in connection with academic activities, including visits to RBW Entertainment, an Everland experience, and a DMZ tour, allowing students to experience Korean society and culture firsthand. Small-group activities such as musical performances, K-beauty classes, and professional volleyball matches were also organized. Toward the end of the year, a Christmas exchange event and a New Year’s tteokguk luncheon were held to provide participants with a warm and welcoming experience.
Vice President of the Office of International Affairs Minhyo Cho stated, “WISE is a representative short-term international program that effectively introduces SKKU’s education and Korean culture to global students within a short period of time,” adding, “We will continue to develop international education models that organically combine academic learning with cultural experiences.”
