Achievement of No. 1 Employment Rate among

Comprehensive Universities for 10 Consecutive Years in Korea

- Results driven by mentoring through alumni networks and close, stage-by-stage support throughout the recruitment process

SKKU has achieved the No. 1 employment rate for ten consecutive years in Korea. According to the “2024 Higher Education Institution Graduate Employment Statistics Survey (2025 Information Disclosure)” released through the Higher Education in Korea portal, the University recorded an employment rate of 71.3%, ranking first among comprehensive universities with more than 3,000 graduates per year. In addition, SKKU also ranked first in the sustained employment rate, which reflects the qualitative aspect of employment, with a rate of 89.2% (based on the 2025 information disclosure, among universities with more than 3,000 graduates).

Key factors behind maintaining the No. 1 employment rate for ten consecutive years include customized, intensive employment programs tailored to students, the operation of large-scale job fairs, mentoring and special lectures led by alumni, and the operation of specialized programs centered on the University Job Plus Center.

Through programs such as the “Alumni Career Academy,” “Online Mentoring,” and “Alumni Relay Special Lectures,”SKKU provides students with opportunities to learn firsthand about job responsibilities and industry characteristics from alumni currently working in the field. In addition, by operating programs tailored to each stage of the recruitment process—from document screening to aptitude tests and interviews—SKKU strengthens the employment competitiveness of its students.

Each semester, SKKU hosts a large-scale offline Job Fair by inviting approximately 90 companies, providing students with opportunities to engage directly with outstanding domestic and international employers. In particular, in 2025, the University held consultation sessions and recruitment briefings tailored to the characteristics of each academic discipline, attracting participation from more than 5,300 students.

In addition, SKKU operates the University Job Plus Center project led by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, hiring professional career and employment consultants to provide customized counseling for students. Through these efforts, SKKU delivers systematic and differentiated employment support services.

Lee Jun-sang, Director of the Career Development Center, stated, “We plan to establish an all-career support service that enables lower-year students to explore their career paths early and actively prepare for employment.” He added, “Furthermore, we will expand the alumni network to build a virtuous cycle and operate a mentoring and special lecture platform based on field experience, so that students can receive practical and meaningful support.”
