SKK GSB Successfully Concludes the World’s First “AI Futures Forum” in Seoul, Demonstrating Global AI Leadership

- Exploring strategies for business innovation and talent development in the AI era through collaboration with the British Embassy and global companies

SKK GSB(Graduate School of Business-Dean: Chunwon Lee) announced that they successfully held the “AI Futures Forum” on the 4th of Decemeber in collaboration with the British Embassy Seoul, the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and Co-Labs Global, a UK-based global company.

The forum holds significant meaning as Seoul was selected as the first host city for this global AI forum, which will be held across major cities around the world. This selection reflects both the strong commitment of the Korean government to becoming one of the world’s top three AI powerhouses and the international recognition of Korea’s advanced AI infrastructure and talent competitiveness.

The event was supported by the AI & Business Innovation Lab (AIBIL) under SKK GSB. The morning session was conducted in a deep-dive roundtable format at SKKU’s Humanities and Social Sciences Campus in Jongno-gu, Seoul, while the afternoon session moved to the British Embassy to provide a broader platform for discussion.

The forum was attended by senior executives and specialists from major global corporations shaping the world economy. Experts from leading financial institutions such as HSBC, Standard Chartered, and KB Kookmin Bank, as well as AI technology and consulting leaders including LG AI Research and Samil PwC, gathered to exchange insights.

Participants shared concrete examples of how nations and companies are driving innovation through the adoption of AI technologies. They engaged in vigorous discussions not only on the implementation of such technologies but also on establishing global collaboration networks and identifying the essential competencies required for corporate members in the AI era. These discussions shed light on how AI technologies create real value in business settings.

Raunaq Pungaliya, Vice Dean of SKK GSB and the host of the event, stated, “This AI Futures Forum was prepared to help our students grow into leaders who can drive AI innovation grounded not only in technological expertise but also in social trust,” emphasizing, “We will continue to support our students so that they can effectively respond to the rapidly evolving AI era and achieve tangible results using cutting-edge technologies.”

Meanwhile, SKK GSB is Korea’s representative MBA program, offering all courses 100% in English. It has been ranked among the world’s top 100 MBAs for 14 consecutive years by the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA rankings and continues to be recognized as Korea’s No.1 MBA. Through the successful hosting of this forum, SKKU has once again demonstrated its position as a global hub for AI business education.
